Buddha Photo

Some people travel far and wide to see exotic sites.  That's great if you have the budget.  But, I just zoom in a little closer on things that are a little closer to home.  For example, this Buddha was for sale in a Ross, TJ Maxx, or Marshalls store.

Emerging Mushrooms

There's a little stretch of woods behind our apartment building.  But, even little patches of woods can hold wonders for the observant!  I took this picture with the Open Camera app on my cellphone.

Photography Tip: Get Closer

I came across an old book, Taking Better Pictures, by Kodak in a thrift store.  It contained tips on taking better photos.  The first tip was to get closer when taking pictures.  You want to get close enough to focus on your primary subject and screen out extraneous things that distract from your subject.
