I snapped this quick picture of a vintage pickup truck behind my local service station. It's an interesting old truck---probably a 1950s Chevy. To me, it looks like the truck that may have inspired the modern Chevy SSR sports truck.
I like this photograph because it shows the color of the truck really well and the old brick walls of the gas station make it look all that much better. I cropped it down to a square 1:1 photo to get some newer vehicles out of the frame. They were harshing my mellow!

Emerging Mushrooms
There's a little stretch of woods behind our apartment building. But, even little patches of woods can hold wonders for the observant! I took this picture with the Open Camera app on my cellphone.

Autrey Mill Nature Reserve Residents
The Autrey Mill Nature Preserve boasts hiking trails and rustic buildings. But, we found these two ducks to be most vocal ambassadors for the place. We were there on a quiet day and they were very happy to see us.

Old Farmhouse at Autrey Mill Nature Preserve
My wife and I discovered an interesting park in the northern Atlanta suburb of Johns Creek. It's called the Autrey Mill Nature Preserve.
