Wildlife Photography - Snail
Sometimes you have to be willing to make sacrifices to get a good wildlife action shot. You have to be willing to spend time, observe, hike into the back woods, and get close to potentially dangerous animals. It's a tough life. Wildlife photography is an adventure. But, not today . . .
Today, I saw this little snail moving along on the sidewalk while I walked my dog. I may have to read up on this wildlife photography stuff.

A Deer at the Office
This deer caught my eye at the office last week. I was leaving in the early evening and peered over the side of our parking garage. I saw a small herd of deer rummaging about in nearby woods. This doe watched me for quite awhile. She was framed perfectly by the trees and shubbery. Fortunately, I had my Kodak digital camera in my pocket. Since I only had 10x optical zoom, I cropped this image down.

Green Flowers - Nothing But Stars
This is an interesting flower. It's green and is composed of star shapes. I have no idea what kind of Georgia plant this could be.
Here is a book on identifying plants in Georgia:

Strange Art in Sandy Springs - Part 2
Of course, the civic-minded Arts Sandy Spring (abbreviated ArtSS by their friends) isn't the only group with art installations. I spotted this objet d'art in the yard of a well-to-do home in Sandy Springs.
This statue definitely modern and eclectic. If I were rich, I think I'd go for the Remington Bronco Buster. It would have been nice to have had a little more zoom for this picture. Something like the Canon PowerShot SX50 12.1MP 50x Optical Zoom Black Digital Camera SX50HS (Google Affiliate Ad)would have worked well with a 50x optical zoom.

Photo: A Well-Sorted Old Car - 1970s Datsun 510 Sedan
This old car struck my eye today when I was renewing our license plates. It's the kind of well-sorted hot rod that I would have loved to own when I was a kid. I believe it is a 1972 Datsun 510 sedan. Vintage Datsun advertisements used to claim that "Under Our Sedan body, lurks a sports car." I believe these rims bring that sports car out into the open!

It may be a work in progress, but it looks very cool so far! This car made my list of Japanese classics.

Photo: Strange Art in Sandy Springs - Part 1
The City of Sandy Springs is an Atlanta suburb with a large concentration of yuppies and rich people. These are precisely the kinds of people who can patronize the arts. They've erected a few unusual pieces in their city.
This piece at the Sandy Springs Library looks a lot like a radio antenna or oil well. But, it's actually a sculpture. In the early evening it caught the sun just right and looked pretty cool.

Photo: Shack on the Beach
With all the outsourcing of jobs, it's important for every American to have a plan. When I'm old and homeless, I'm claiming this gazebo on the Gulf of Mexico. It's mine. I'll be the old bearded guy with a fishing pole. This gazebo was near Steinhatchee, Florida. But, seriously, git. You go find your own gazebo!

What do squirrels do during the day?
From our apartment, I can see what goes on in nearby treetops. I've discovered that squirrels often nap and rest during the day. For this photo, the zoom on my digital camera helped.
If you want to see for yourself, you might get a nice pair of Steiner Binoculars. Here is a review of mine: Binoculars Review: Steiner Safari 8 x 22 Binoculars
